Income Report – April 2016

Welcome to Income Mesh’s 14th income report.

I am writing these income reports each month so that I can track my traffic and income progress and so that you can learn from me, follow my steps and make money like I do.

What happened in April 2016

Last month was really slow for this blog, I managed to create and publish only one article, and that one was Income Report for March (which was my record month btw).

There’s a simple reason why I didn’t publish more article – I’m working on a new project.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, let me give you few pointers.

I’m building a landing page template marketplace for Thrive Content Builder. That is, all the templates made will be made to work with Thrive Content Builder plugin.

It’s a work in progress, but when it launches it will truly amazing set of landing page templates with over 100 templates to choose from, and with 20+ new templates added each and every month.

If you would like to be notified when it launches, get on the waiting list here, on the official website -> The Landing Factory.

Obviously this blog survived even with that one article published and has even made over $1000 in sales – pure profit. That’s the beauty of blogging and creating yourself a passive income empire.

Another hint, for an upcoming article, I’ll publish a nice blog post on how to make a blog and make money with it, I’m sure many of you will like it.

Traffic statistics

Analytics - April vs March 2016

I was honestly expecting a drop in traffic, but it remained nearly the same. No complaints here πŸ™‚

Again, when you have good content in good ranking in Google, the traffic will continue to come your way even when you don’t update your blog for a while.

The only thing that worries me is the bounce rate, 80% of people come here, get what they need and leave. I’ll have to figure it out how to make them to click more and check more articles on the blog.

April vs March 2016 Channels Report

There was actually increase in all fields of incoming traffic except in social, which was almost half weaker than in March. Compared with February that’s even worse. But what can you do, for social traffic you need to invest some time and have a tactic in place, both of which I haven’t been able to put my efforts in so far.

Social traffic - April vs March 2016

The biggest drops here are from Facebook and Pinterest, but what’s my biggest surprise is Disqus. The traffic from that source is low for sure, but it’s coming in regularly for a few months now, and that’s just from a couple of comments I made (maybe even just one comment) – that’s really interesting and something to keep in mind for future.

Remember, a long time ago, when blogs were just starting out, commenting on other blogs was nr.1 method to get more traffic to your blog. It works today too, but it needs more effort, that’s it.

My second favorite part of income reports is to see which blog posts were most popular this month.

Here they are:

All right, that doesn’t look bad at all. Yes, some of my posts have suffered from loss of traffic, but my most important ones are still rocking steadily.

Income Report

April was another month with over $1000 made, that’s the third time in a row, finally. May seems to be on the right track to be another $1000+ month, but we’ll see about that in a few weeks.

Here’s how I made most of my money in April.

Thrive tools – $993.43 (see my Thrive Leads review here + my Thrive Content Builder review here)
10 Minute Funnels – $38.80
GetResponse – $9.90
Optimize Press 2 – $38.8
Tailwind – $21.73

= $1102.68

Expenses:

GetResponse – $14.11

Profit: $1088.57

Awesome, isn’t it? πŸ™‚

Wrapping it up

That’s it guys for now. You can expect few more blog posts from me this month, and I’ll soon reveal my other blog related to making money with Amazon affiliate program, and like I said, there’s going to be a big launch of The Landing Factory.

Feel free to share in the comments your big or small wins, and let me know how’s your money making journey going.

When I look at these blogs it get to my mind that making it online does not come overnight you will have to put in some work so that you make it. Apart from that you will also have to make sure sure there discipline to the highest level or else failure will be knocking on you do and you will never go any where.
